Kanatlı Dam, built on the Bulanık Creek, a tributary of the Peri River in Kovancılar district of Elazığ province in the Upper Euphrates Basin, is constructed as a clay-cored rockfill dam.
The dam's crest height is 75.33 meters, and its foundation height is 78.83 meters. It has a drainage area of 81.20 km², an annual average flow of 36.76 hm³, a minimum water level of 1279 meters, a maximum water level of 1324.4 meters, and an active volume of 35.24 hm³.
The dam's body height is 78.83 meters. The total storage capacity of the dam is 43.90 million m³.
It will irrigate a total of 70,900 hectares of agricultural land in 19 settlements within Kovancılar and Karakoçan districts of Elazığ province.
Kanatlı Dam aims to contribute 38,621,836.95 TL annually to the national economy, increase income by 580.73 TL per hectare, and provide employment for 17,730 people.
