Under the Yoncalı Irrigation Project, a tunnel with an internal diameter of 4.5 meters and a length of 9,262 meters will be excavated using a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), with the tunnel lined with concrete.

The front face is a concrete-lined rockfill dam.

The delivery tunnel to be constructed under this project will irrigate the fertile agricultural lands of 23 surrounding settlements.

The project will irrigate approximately 175,000 decares of agricultural land. For the irrigation networks of 175,000 decares, 44.05 kilometers of main canal will be constructed.

In addition to contributing approximately 83,327,759.98 TL annually to the national economy, the project aims to employ 52,221 people.

The project includes approximately 460,000 cubic meters of tunnel entrance portal excavation and 1,000,000 cubic meters of tunnel exit portal excavation works.
